Teen Leadership Board Application

Join the Teen & Kid Closet Teen Leadership Board

Teen & Kid Closet is now accepting applications for our Teen Leadership Board, a student-led group dedicated to service, leadership, and community impact.

 

This program is designed for high school students who want to develop leadership skills, build friendships, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and teens in need.

What Is the Teen Leadership Board?

The Teen Leadership Board is a select group of students who support the mission of Teen & Kid Closet through volunteer service, project collaboration, and community awareness initiatives.

Teen & Kid Closet serves children and teens in need by providing fashionable, high-quality clothing and accessories free of charge. Teen Board members help extend that impact through leadership and advocacy.

Teen Leadership Board Goals

  • Increase awareness of the populations served by Teen & Kid Closet

  • Learn how nonprofit organizations collaborate and operate

  • Develop real-world leadership skills

  • Build meaningful peer connections through service

 

Membership Expectations

To maintain a focused and engaged group:

  • A maximum of two students per school will be selected

  • Members must attend nine meetings during the school year

  • Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month, beginning August 10, 2026

  • Meeting time: 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM

  • Members are required to complete 12 volunteer hours per year

  • Pre-approved independent projects may count toward volunteer hours

 

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for motivated high school students who:

  • Want to grow as leaders

  • Care about serving their community

  • Can commit to meetings and volunteer hours

  • Are excited to represent Teen & Kid Closet
