Greg and Trish Schwartz, the owners of 2 Loons Distillery in Loon Lake, Washington, look forward to this year’s Bourbon, Bacon & Brews on June 17th.
Trish follows Teen & Kid Closet on Facebook and feels it’s an important cause.
“It’s excellent – we are proud to help support this cause. It is a great opportunity to share our spirits at this fun event knowing the proceeds are returning to this important part of our community.”
Last year, Greg said that the event was well attended and that people were interested in their products and swag. “Many people took the flyers, sampled our whiskeys, and had a great time. It was a very positive event,” he said. With just Trish and Greg running what she called a micro-distillery, they are excited to return to Bourbon, Bacon & Brews.
“It works because we’re supporting them, and they’re supporting us, so it’s a win-win situation,” Trish explained. “We produce around 1,000 gallons a year and sell about 500 cases. We sell exclusively out of our tasting room and offer local deliveries.”
This means that people who wouldn’t usually get to try 2 Loons Distillery products will have the chance at this June event. “And that’s what makes us different from most others – because it’s just a husband and wife – we don’t have any employees – we depend upon the craft community to support us. So, this is a great opportunity to get exposure and support a great cause we believe in.”
